Mr. Fouad Makhzoumi welcomes Cabinet's decision to adopt proportional representation in the upcoming municipal elections.

The head of the National Dialogue Party, Mr. Fouad Makhzoumi, hoped that the decision reached by Cabinet to adopt proportional representation in the upcoming municipal elections was a first step towards much needed reform in all sectors.

However, Mr. Makhzoumi called on Cabinet and Parliament to address the issue of administrative reform without further delay in preparation for the upcoming municipal elections. Mr. Makhzoumi added that it was time to reinforce government institutions far from sectarian and personal agendas.
